We are looking for a Unity Programmer (m/f/d)!

We are Salmi Games, an independent game studio located in Munich, Germany. We are working on multiple VR projects (including Sweet Surrender and several unannounced projects). We are looking for a Programmer to help us ramp up a music-focused VR project and complement our existing programming team.

You would be working closely within a small team of experienced developers, designers and artists to flesh out the core experience.

This is an ideal opportunity for a recent graduate or a junior programmer. We encourage candidates from all backgrounds to apply. Diverse voices make our studio better.

Start Date: Q1 2023

Your tasks:

  • Implementing new gameplay features
  • Address VR-specific challenges (comfortable interactions, UX, performance)
  • Working with our artist to integrate models, scenes, visual effects and animations
  • Taking on technical challenges and finding your own solutions

Your profile:

  • Experience with the Unity Engine
  • Strong knowledge of C#
  • Experience using version control (we use GitHub)
  • At least one of the following:
    • Experience in VR
    • Experience with UX
  • Able to communicate well in English (written and verbal)
  • Excellent people skills and a kind approach to working with others
  • Germany-based (Munich-preferred but remote possible for strong candidates)
  • Bonus: you play an instrument or are a musician

Our process:

  • We will let you know if you’ve made it to stage 2 or not (within 2 weeks)
  • Stage 2 is a video call with 1-2 people from the team to better understand your experience, personal goals and what you could bring to the company
  • Stage 3 will be a deeper, more technical discussion with further members of the team
  • Finally either an offer will be made or feedback will be shared
