Webseite Maschinen-Mensch UG

Hello! We’re Maschinen-Mensch, an independent game studio founded in 2014 in Berlin, Germany. We made Curious Expedition 1 & 2 and Codecks.io.

We are working on a new, previously unannounced game IP set in imaginative caves of an alien world, filled with peculiar creatures & vegetation. Now we’re looking for an additional Senior Producer (m/f/d) to help us manage and coordinate the development process of this brand new project. Our studios’ expertise is in procedural generation that is tightly woven into the gameplay, and with this new title we will build on our previous experience to deliver one of the most sophisticated procedural worlds ever seen in a game.

Your profile:

  • 2+ years of professional experience as a Producer/Project Manager in games or in software development
  • Familiarity with agile production methodologies
  • Fluent in English
  • Ability to work full-time

Your responsibilities:

  • Track and report on project milestones
  • Ensure that everyone in the team is able to work according to the agreed objectives and time constraints
  • Oversee the maintenance of a clear and easy to understand project structure in our project management tool Codecks
  • Identify issues to ensure timely notification and action in order to minimize project risk
  • Act as facilitator for daily stand-up meetings, sprint planning meetings, sprint retrospective meetings and sprint demo meetings
  • Manage external collaborators (e.g. artists, sound designers, writers)

What we offer:

  • A relaxed, family-friendly, no crunch policy working environment
  • Being part of a small, diverse, international team
  • Competitive salary
  • 25 days paid yearly vacation
  • The opportunity to work on a brand-new game and IP

This is a full-time position.

Working remotely is possible from anywhere within Germany. If you’re based in Berlin (or willing to relocate) that’s definitely a plus, so that we can work together in person. Our studio is located at Saftladen, an indie game collective and co-working space for game developers that we co-founded in 2015.

We particularly encourage applications from women, people with disabilities, people of colour, and other groups that are underrepresented throughout the game industry.

Earliest start date: June 2024
